美国加州的Surfware公司开发的Surfcam是基于Windows的数控编程系统，附有全新透视图基底的自动化彩色编辑功能，可迅速而又简捷地将一个模型分解为型芯和型腔，从而节省复杂零件的编程时间。该软件的CAM功能具有自动化的恒定Z水平粗加工和精加工功能，可以使用圆头、球头和方头立铣刀在一系列Z水平上对零件进行无撞伤的曲面切削。对某些作业来说，这种加工方法可以提高粗加工效率和减少精加工时间。V7.0版本完全支持基于微机的实体模型建立。另外Surfware公司和SolidWorks公司签有合作协议，SolidWorks的设计部分将成为Surfcam的设计前端，Surfcam将直接挂在SolidWorks的菜单下，二者相辅相成。

全球顶尖第三大CAD/CAM软件服务商Vero软件公司非常荣幸的宣布，Vero公司已经成功收购来自Surfware软件公司的Surfcam软件，以丰富其CAD/CAM的产品线。
